It started back in Colorado in the 90s

Sawbuck began on construction sites in Colorado, where Mike grew up building homes side by side with his dad. That's where he learned that good work comes from precision, patience, communication, getting it right before moving on.

Years later, after building cabinets in Austin and software for startups, he realized those worlds had something to teach each other. Software lets you see exactly what you're buying before you commit. Cabinetry too often relies on sketches, phone calls, and crossed fingers.
